Growing up in Richmond, California, surrounded by a family deeply rooted in Mexican traditions and the blue-collar world of stone and tile work, I, Jesus Rivera Jr., always felt a connection to the tangible, the crafted, the built environment. My father, a master carpenter, and my uncles, skilled artisans, instilled in me an appreciation for the beauty and functionality of well-designed spaces.
