Prince Philip, who longing to be with a prince of his own, must decide to follow the traditional tale or forge his own happily ever after.

The Prince's Dilemma is a thesis 2D animation short film produced at San Jose State University during the 2022-23 Academic year. The film pays homage to classic 1950s animation with a modern twist that aims to reinvent the classic princess fairytale genre for an LGBTQ+ audience.

This film addresses the lack of same-sex couples in fairytales and animation, showing children that they themselves don't need to fit into the box, or the tale, expected of them. You are the writer of your own story.
